Welcome to my blog!!!

I have collected baseball cards and autographs over the years. I still have boxes full of cards (as well as newer cards) that are just sitting there. So, I have decided to see how many of them I can get autographed. I use through the mail as my preferred route for this adventure. I also have an account on Zistle and The Trading Card Database for trading purposes (stevienicks77).

Trade with Lonestarr

Lonestarr sent me an email awhile back wanting the Pink Mookie Betts.  He offered me several cards, and they are all on my want list, however, I decided on the Hosmer card because of the Royals trip to the World Series.  He was kind enough to throw in some other cards, as well.

2015 Topps Valor football

I have started to buy a few football cards, but not many.  I only buy the cards that I think look cool.  This year, Topps Valor did it again.  I love the design, but not as much as last years.

Just some stuff I have bought

I haven't had a chance to catch up with my posts, so I'll be posting over the next couple of days some things I have bought, along with the one trade I have had time to complete.

I got this the during the World Series...HOZ!!!

These pink cards keep bringing me back.  At least I got one for my PC in Harvey.

Finally, a special surprise.  The scan looks bad, but the card looks great!

2015 Heritage High Number

I wanted to buy a pack or something of the 2015 Heritage High Number.  It seems like it came out awhile ago, so I was worried I might not get any.  My current store does not keep cards in stock like they used to in years past, or someone is hogging all the cards!  Here's the goodies:

Most people know him as the guy who can pitch with either arm, I know him as Creighton Blue Jay Alumni, Pat Venditte!

2015 Topps Chrome, take 2

I was at the store this weekend, looking to see if I could snag any 2015 Heritage High Number cards. While I was there, I saw a pack of 2015 Chrome that said "pink cards."  I couldn't resist.  Here's my goodies:

Token catcher card.

This is a pretty awesome picture!

Token Royal

And...the pink cards!  I am going to keep the Abreu for my own PC, and I might try to get the Moreland autographed next year.

Mark Grant

Mark Grant is currently a broadcaster for the Padres.  I had written these cards off long ago, but I am excited to have them back.  For some reason, I appreciate the '88 Donruss and how the autograph looks on those cards.

Jonathan Lucroy

Jonathan Lucroy started off the 2015 season injured, but when he came back, he was playing well enough that I picked him up in my fantasy baseball league after he got off the DL.  Thank goodness, because I stupidly dropped Evan Gattis!  However, he suffered a concussion at the end of the year, and ended the season on the DL, and was unable to help team Sponge Babe finish runner-up in my league.

Eric Hinske

Eric Hinske is currently the Cubs assistant hitting coach.  Now that the Cubs have made the playoffs, he had some time to sign my cards!  I love the red boarder on the Braves card!

Another COMC purchase

As I have slowly had some time to devote to my hobby, I really want to get my sets completed.  So, I went back to COMC to achieve that.

Still working on the 2012 Bowman Platinum, but now I'm a little closer.  I'm still bummed out that Bowman decided to do away with the Platinum series; I though the last couple of years they produced great looking cards.

2014 Bowman.  Just trying to finish up the prospects set and chrome prospects.  Too bad some guy named Kris Bryant is making it difficult.

2014 Archieves.  Almost done with the base set.  I would love to collect the SPs, too, but that will take time, as is trying to collect the SPs from 2011 Heritage.

2015 Topps Series 1.  I was at this game, great memories!

2015 Archives.  Same as 2014 Archives.  Almost done with the base set, but the SPs are gonna kill me.

My first trade since November!

I hadn't realized it had been that long, until I looked at the last time I made a trade on Zistle!  Yikes!  My job and school has definitely taken away from my hobby time, which includes TTM, trading, and building my player collections.  I hope that I will have a little more time here in the future to trade.  If you have proposed a trade to my on Zistle, don't give up on me!  I hope to touch base with everyone who proposed a trade within the last year.

Bubbasbums has been one of those Zistle traders who has been patient with me.  I know he proposed a trade earlier this summer, and I was finally able to have some time to find cards to send.  I sent him a bunch of 2015 Bowman, and he hooked me up with a bunch of Allen and Ginter (as well as other goodies) for my player collections.

 Allen & Ginter:  2007-2015

This card was surprisingly thick.

Other player collection cards:

I was sorry to see this guy get traded.  Cueto hasn't been all that fantastic since he got to KC, and he's not making fans happy.

2015 Panini Prizim

Yeah, I bought a couple of packs of Panini, too, this summer.  I'm not sure why...I'm usually not impressed with the product.  Here's what I got:

2015 Topps Chrome

I really like the 2015 Topps design, so I went out and bought a Chrome blaster box.  I love the design.  It is better than years past with the grey border.

 Base cards:

Catchers:

Inserts:  The future star insert is pretty cool.  I would have made the logo in the background bigger, though.
