I didn't send out as many TTM requests this year, so obviously I didn't get many back.  Although a little lite this year, still got some good stuff back.

3.  Pat Neshek - I am trying to get a card autographed with every team he's been with; unfortunately, he kept my 2015 Topps Gold with the Astros.  So I still need to get that autographed.

1.  Chris Davis - I have quite a few of his Orioles cards, and the Orioles are one of my favorite teams, and I like the way all his cards look!

Top 5 'hits' of 2019

Here are my top 5 'hits' of 2019.  Probably nothing special to most, but I don't buy a lot of high end stuff throughout the year, so these are special to me.

5. Vlad, Jr. - I'm happy to have some of his cards in my collection so I can use them as trade bait.

4.  Daniel Ponce de Leon - I got this out of Gold Label, but when you buy a box, you're guaranteed a hit.  66/75

3.  Luis Urias - I hit this 1/1 out of the GQ hobby box I bought this year!  I think this is my third 1/1 in my collection!

2.  Salvador Perez - I got this out of the Topps Holiday blaster box I bought.  I have really enjoyed the new look of Topps Holiday this year.

1.  Austin Dean - This blue chrome card is beautiful!

5.  Jose Canseco Topps Fan Favorite - I really like this Fan Favorite cards!  I got this from abebauman.

4.  George Brett SP - I love the Royals power blue uniforms!  I got this card from Godzilla8you.

3.  Kris Bryant National Baseball Day Card - I've never seen this card before, so I like to try to put unique cards in my PCs.  I got this card from itsjustoldcardboard.

2.  GQ Glassworks - Boy, I have never seen these cards in person until I got this in the mail, but they are just as pretty as I thought they would be.  This card was not a part of a trade, but a little surprise included in the trade by laloosh.  

1.  Ryne Sandberg Gold Chrome - I got this beauty from gapporin, who is also from Missouri.

Top 5 cards I've bought in 2019

These are my top cards I've bought and added to my collection this year.

5.  I'll forever be working on the 2012 Topps Update SP All Star cards.  I just love this one, but I need another one because I have PCs of both players.  Bought through COMC.

4.   Cooper Johnson - my favorite college baseball player.  Was at Ole Miss, but drafted this year as a junior and is a catcher in the Tigers organization.  Bought through COMC.

3.  Salvador Perez autograph - bought this at my LCS.  I needed this for the token autograph I need for my Salvy collection.  I decided to buy a Donruss because the way the picture is; you can't really tell they deleted the Royals because his catchers gear covers everything up.

2.  C.J. Beathard - I bought this off of COMC on Black Friday.  This guy is a former Hawkeye, so you know he's one of my favorites!

1.  Mark McGwire 1985 Topps -  The white whale of my youth and adult collecting years.  I bought this at my LCS.  Now, my new white whale is 2010 Pro Debut Mike Trout!  Eek!  I might have to wait another 34 years before I can afford that card!

COMC Black Friday!

It's that time of year, researching and scouring COMC for good deals for my collection.  I actually ordered one on Friday, and another on Sunday!  Here are some of the highlights:

TCDB surpirse!

TCDB member, danaadk, reached out to me about some extra cards he wants to get rid of because he's currently getting rid of duplicates.  I got my envelope the other day, and it was way more than I expected!  And, he's from Lawrence, KS!

It's a COMC time of the year!

I made a purchase prior to Black Friday- Cyber Monday.  Stupid, right?  But I forgot about the sale COMC always has!  It's ok though, I followed all my rules for buying on COMC, so I don't think I made any bad or costly purchases.
