Welcome to my blog!!!

I have collected baseball cards and autographs over the years. I still have boxes full of cards (as well as newer cards) that are just sitting there. So, I have decided to see how many of them I can get autographed. I use through the mail as my preferred route for this adventure. I also have an account on Zistle and The Trading Card Database for trading purposes (stevienicks77).

2013 Gypsy Queen

I was finally on the ball and picked up some cards around their release date.  I picked up these Gypsy Queen cards March 30.   I am a little disappointed with the main set design, but they have some sub-sets that I really like this year.

First card (not a bad way to start):

Player collection cards (out of all the packs I bought, I only got two):

Cubbies:

Short Prints:

Mini Black:

Blue Border (Jason Kipnis strikes again):

Mini Relic:

My two favorite sub-sets are Dealing Aces and Collisions at the Plate.  I wish the Gary Carter was a Mets card, but either way, it's going on my want list.  I got 4 Dealing Aces and 2 Collisions cards in my packs.  Here are my favorites:

Here is probably the worst photo for sliding stars:

I don't know that I consider Price Fielder a "sliding star" when I think of running the bases and stealing bases.

  1. That is a sweet looking Gwynn! I guess they all kind of are, though...

Fielder would be a candidate for a "Rumblin' Stumblin'" set, not one that focuses on foot speed.
