Welcome to my blog!!!

I have collected baseball cards and autographs over the years. I still have boxes full of cards (as well as newer cards) that are just sitting there. So, I have decided to see how many of them I can get autographed. I use through the mail as my preferred route for this adventure. I also have an account on Zistle and The Trading Card Database for trading purposes (stevienicks77).

TCDB trade with Coleman23

I've been really bad about getting trades up here on the blog in a timely manner; these trades happened several weeks ago.

A few 2019 Topps Update needs

I'm taking a shot on this Royals rookie!  I hope he's the real deal!

Mega collection 82-90

Mega collection 82-90

Observations:
  • I really loved 1989 Bowman when it first came out, but I hate that it doesn't fit well in the page.
  • In less than the first 100 cards, I have already picked cards of 4 2-sport athletes, and not on purpose!
  • Favorite player on the page:  Jeff Pico
  • Favorite card on the page:  1988 Score Tom Herr
  • Card most likely to get bumped:  2018 Topps Michael Conforto

A rare eBay purchase

We were traveling to Omaha to watch the Super Bowl with family; I know that sounds weird given we live in KC, but we wanted to watch it with people we knew.  On the way up, I was doing some "research" for our man cave and design/decoration.  Anyway, I came across this card and another card that I bought as 'buy it now' and another one I hope to snag when the auction ends Saturday.  This card is from my LCS!  It's a beauty of a former Iowa Hawkeye!

Mega collection 73-81

Mega collection 73-81

Observations:
  • Starting to see more modern day/current cards from current MLB players
  • The 1981 Topps Ed Whitson is one of the first "old" cards I owned
  • Favorite player on the page:  Keith Hernandez
  • Favorite card on the page:  1987 Topps Wally Joyner
  • Card most likely to get bumped:  1993 Donruss Rich Rowland - too many Rated Rookies in the collection already

Mega Collection 64-72

Mega Collection 64-72

Observations:
  • Starting to get into the player's individual set cards
  • Favorite player on the page:  Yordano Ventura
  • Favorite card on the page:  2013 Topps Will Middlebrooks
  • Card most likely to get bumped:  2017 Donruss Optic Purple Cody Bellinger - again, the fate of the no logo card although this was a hard decision because Cody Bellinger led me to a fantasy baseball championship in 2019
