I have collected baseball cards and autographs over the years. I still have boxes full of cards (as well as newer cards) that are just sitting there. So, I have decided to see how many of them I can get autographed. I use through the mail as my preferred route for this adventure. I also have an account on Zistle and The Trading Card Database for trading purposes (stevienicks77).
Between the craziness that is finals and craziness at my other job, it has been a month to forget. Luckily, at the beginning of the month, I was able to get a few small trades done, but just haven't posted or shared until now.

New player collection alert! Joey Gallo! Not going big, but not going to trade any away!
It's been hard for me lately to make any trades or do any TTMs because I have been failing at a work/life balance. This failure is exacerbated by the fact that my students getting ready to graduate college have been acting worse than a bunch of 5 year olds. Their lack of character and how they have handled adversity is quite concerning given they are graduating and will soon be caring for patients in hospitals and saving lives. Therefore, my stress levels are up, and not enough time to do trades which really sucks because I have had a bunch of offers from people on TCDB. If you read this blog and are on TCDB, I will try to get back to you once I get these cry babies through finals.
I was excited to see a TTM envelope back from Spring Training. This one is from former Padre and Athletic R.J. Alvarez. I sent this to the Marlins ST, and he's currently with the Marlins AAA team, New Orleans Baby Cakes.

I have the opinion that some gifts are the "gifts that keep on giving" for a long time. For instance, I get my husband an out of state fishing license every year for Valentine's Day because it's what he enjoys when we go to our camper up in Nebraska off of the Platte River. We were miraculously saved from flooding in March! And, the saying always reminds me of one of my favorite Christmas movies...
So, here's the goodies that "give on giving" all year long! I am still sticking to my "rules" of buying online!
