I've been running behind on posting my trade goodies lately. However, I completed one with Captain_Canuck from Waxaholic. I enjoy reading his blog. He's what he sent me in our trade:
Omaha/River City Lancers (USHL): As I posted yesterday, I was lucky to see future NHL players while living in Omaha.
Player Collections:
Royals collection:
Captain_Canuck also sent me a 1991 Score pack of hockey cards. This was the best card out of the pack. Not too bad.

Welcome to my blog!!!
I have collected baseball cards and autographs over the years. I still have boxes full of cards (as well as newer cards) that are just sitting there. So, I have decided to see how many of them I can get autographed. I use through the mail as my preferred route for this adventure. I also have an account on Zistle and The Trading Card Database for trading purposes (stevienicks77).

Zistle trade with Lightningfan7609
George Brett:
Cubbies!
Royals: I really was bummed to find out that Topps had already Photoshopped Jake Odorizzi. I should have not expected anything less from Topps.
Hockey: I watched Matt Carle play USHL hockey in Omaha/River City for the Lancers in the early 2000's. I've been fortunate enough to watch many players from Omaha/River City who have gone on to NHL careers.
Matt Harvey: One more for my small collection.
Neil Walker: A special card for my small collection.

2013 Archives
I have been reading a lot of reviews on 2013 Archives. Last year, there was not many good things said about last years set, and, quite frankly, I wasn't overly excited once I opened one pack. However, this year, after seeing on Twitter Topps' teasing with photos of the cards, I was optimistic about the 2013 set. And...I am one of a few that love this set! I especially like the 1985 and 1990 Topps. I know many have never like the 1990 design, however, I think I'm partial to it because that was the set that had the 1989 division winning Cubs. Great year to be a Cub fan. So, here is what I think of 2013 Archives. These cards are what I got out of two rack packs and a blaster box.
1972 Topps:
Favorite Card - The Kid, one of my favorite players of all time, although I prefer him in a Mets uniform.
Worst card - Too much sky, and it's hard to imagine a newer team like the Diamondbacks in retro anything. Plus, the name is too long on the card.
1982 Topps:
Favorite Card - Ozzie Smith wins here, but, again, I like this one because the photo looks old on a retro card.
Worst Card - I guess you could say I'm totally hating on the expansion teams. Here, I chose the Nationals because it doesn't seem right.
1985 Topps: My favorite design this year.
Favorite - I like the simple design, and I like how I have old logos and new logos. I am especially partial to the Orioles logos! I am so happy they went back the the old style hat! Plus, who doesn't love the old Brewers' logo?
Worst card - I'm hating on the expansion teams, again. Bad color.
1990 Topps:
Favorite Card - For some reason, this Dan Uggla card just pops out at me. I think that it helps that he's wearing the retro uniform for the Braves.
Worst card - It just seems weird seeing the Rockies on a 1990 Topps.
Short Prints - I got 2 in my blaster box. Leon Durham was an awesome surprise!
Relic card - Why can't I ever get a relic card of someone I like? But, I'll still take it because I don't have many relic cards, at all, in my collection. I do like the design of these relic cards. Very nice.
1969 4-in-1 stickers - These are ok. I don't really care for stickers, although, this particular 4-in-1, has some ok players on it. ;)
1983 All Stars - I love this set. I got two in my blaster box, and one between my two rack packs. Cal Ripken Jr. wins out here, again, because he looks like he belongs on the card.
Mini Tall Boys - When I was first checking out what 2013 Archives had to offer, I saw these cards and thought, ugh! However, I got two in my blaster pack (the other was Strasburg). I like them, a lot!
Royals - I have been getting lucky, lately, and getting Royal hits in the stuff that I buy.
Cubbies - Besides the Leon Durham, I got these two Cubs. I wish the team was better, so they would have more cards in sets like this.
So, there you have it. 2013 Archives. I like this WAY more than Heritage. Grade: A-

Another return from this weekend was from David Murphy. I just got done watching his team kick the Royals butts all weekend. The only day the Royals won was the day I was working and couldn't watch the game.

Ray Wersching
I got an exciting return this weekend from a former player on my favorite football team when I was growing up! Ray Wersching won two Super Bowls with the 49ers. I loved watching those games on TV when I was a kid!
