I hit up npmiller28 for a trade. We both had Topps Archives needs, and it worked out for both of us! A few more down for my 2014 and 2015 Topps Archives sets!!

Welcome to my blog!!!
I have collected baseball cards and autographs over the years. I still have boxes full of cards (as well as newer cards) that are just sitting there. So, I have decided to see how many of them I can get autographed. I use through the mail as my preferred route for this adventure. I also have an account on Zistle and The Trading Card Database for trading purposes (stevienicks77).

Zistle trade with torcato
Third envelope from this week, from torcato. Finally got a trade done with him; sent him some parallels, while he hooked me up with cards for my player collections, from Donruss, Optic, 2014 Topps (somehow I neglected a lot of 2014 Topps way back when), and 2015 Topps Chrome.

Zistle trade with SWATty67
Large mail day today. I sent out 4 padded envelopes on Monday, and got 3 back today! This first one is from SWATty67. I was able to help him out with some Gypsy Queen needs, while he helped me out in several areas.

Zistle trade with metscardboard
I have been very happy to be trading again. I didn't officially make any 2017 goals, but I do want to work on completing my outstanding sets that I have been working on. I would say that's probably goal number one for the year. Goal number two would be to get further on my Royals and Cubs mega binders. Anyway, I have made several trades recently to help me with these goals, and this was one of those trades, and it was a nice, big trade.

Second longest wait ever
My #1 TTM of 2016 was the longest I have ever waited to get a card back. This week, I got one back this week that is my second place for longest ever return. I, of course, had written these cards off long ago, but I am ecstatic to have them back, as one of them is a TTM Cubs card (even though it is badly photoshopped by Topps)!

Another return this week from the minors, was from Austin Hedges, a catcher in the Padres system. I sent this at the beginning of the year to El Paso, and he spent most of the year there, then got the call up to the Padres. He figures to be the starting catcher in San Diego this year.

Trip to the LCS, part 4
I was lucky enough to get a gift certificate to my LCS for Christmas. I have not been able to visit my LCS. I bought so much stuff, it will take a couple of posts! I spent a lot of time browsing the commons boxes, and score a lot of colored cards and chrome cards. Today's post will feature the packs.
I bought a pack of 2016 Heritage Minor League and a pack of 2016 Bowman Draft. Bowman Draft does not have a "pack" this year to buy; you can buy a $11 or $40 pack (at least that's how it was priced at my LCS). I went for the $11 pack.

This is a Bowman Draft card, but it did not come in the pack I bought. It was a loose card the LCS had on the counter. This kid played on the same high school baseball team my nephew does. I am adding him to my player collections. We'll see what this kid does in the next couple of years.
