Yeah mail!!!!

Mail has been getting slower, but I've gotten some back this last week. Andy Benes, one of my favorite players, came this week. The signature is different than the one I got many years ago; its not as nice and crisp now, but that's ok. Bob Boone also came back yesterday, and his signature is awesome!!! Former Royal!!! Former I-Cub in the mail!!!

Today's mail was really special. I got back Phil Stephenson. He played for the Iowa Cubs back in the late-80's. When I was a kid, we'd go to some I-Cub games. He was the first-ever autograph I ever got, in-person at a Chicago Cubs vs. Iowa Cubs exhibition game in 1989. It was through the fence before the gates opened. He was great. Phil is now the head baseball coach at Dodge City Community College in Dodge City, KS.

Signed card back, but not the one I sent!

This is my first card back from sending to a team in the Atlantic League. Thank you Toby Hall for hooking me up! The most interesting/curious thing about getting this autograph back, was the fact that I sent a 2006 Upper Deck, and I got back a 2003 Upper Deck! I guess I don't mind which one I got; I actually like the photo on the 2003 UD better, but the corners were a little dinged. Who knows if that is from USPS or just a dinged card?

Finally some mail!!!

Well, I had been getting mail on a fairly frequent basis, so the lack of mail the last two weeks has been frustrating!! I got one back today, and it was one I worried the signature wouldn't take because of all the gloss (it was still super glossy after I tried to remove it!).
