Welcome to my blog!!!

I have collected baseball cards and autographs over the years. I still have boxes full of cards (as well as newer cards) that are just sitting there. So, I have decided to see how many of them I can get autographed. I use through the mail as my preferred route for this adventure. I also have an account on Zistle and The Trading Card Database for trading purposes (stevienicks77).

Fantasy Baseball Draft

I had my fantasy baseball league draft last weekend.  I'm not sure how I did, but CBS Sportsline tells me I got a draft grade of B.  My top three draft picks based on value and draft spot were Jason Kipnis, Travis d'Arnaud, and Chris Davis.  My worst three were Zack Greinke, Marco Estrada, and Gerrit Cole.  Here's how I picked; it was not my best draft ever, not my worst.  Here are the cards I have of my fantasy baseball team.

 Team Sponge Babe

st Round - Needed some OF power
nd Round - Needed a big time pitcher
rd Round - Again wanted more pitching
th Round - More power and versatility with 1B/OF option, but a lot of strikeouts.
th Round - 3B was going quickly at this point in the draft, and I wanted to get someone decent
th Round - 1B was going quickly, too
th Round - Another power pitcher
th Round- Pitching was going quick, and I panicked
th Round - Hopefully a sneaky pick-up; high risk pick
th Round - Again, pitching going quickly and I panicked
th Round - Reliever time
th Round - I know he's suspended, but I hope this is a steal later in the year
th Round - I did not like this pick, but there was not much left.  Although, should I need to drop him, Yadier Molina is available in the free agent pool.
th Round - Solid player.
th Round - Hopefully a nice pick-up.  He was downgraded due to injury, so I hope to have made a good move.
th Round - There were not many OF left, and if Piscotty doesn't work out, I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
th Round - I didn't like this pick, but I didn't have a choice.  Hopefully he'll prove me wrong.
th Round - My fill in until Chapman is off suspension.
th Round - Hopefully he'll have a nice year, but lots of strike outs here
th Round - My "oops" pick.  I meant to pick up another SS, but got him instead.  I feel like I have too many Rangers on my team.  He did just hit 3 HR yesterday...maybe my future utility guy?
st Round - The world champion Royals opening day pitcher in the last round, in a Royals fantasy baseball league.  I picked him up late last year, too, and he was very consistent.  Here's to (I think) an awesome last pick!
