For some reason when I'm at Walmart or Target, I still gravitate to the card section, even though it has essentially been bare since April. I picked up some 2020 Panini Elite Extra Edition; I like these cards because I like to see players in their college uniforms. Even though the blaster box is quite pricy for what's in the package ($20 for 5 cards), I love that you're always guaranteed a relic and/or auto. I did pull a Torkelson!

Getting my 2020 fill...
Since the card market didn't get any better throughout the year, I decided to take the money I'd normally spend on a $20 blaster, and take my cash to Sportslots. My goal was to buy stuff I need for my mega collections. Since I have temporarily stopped doing TCDB, I needed a card fix! Unfortunately, we have not made any progress on moving to Omaha, so I'm going to pull out my card collection again. I had put it all away to be ready to move and to show the house. The realtors told us to put it away because it may "walk away." Anyway, here is just a sampling of what I've been buying:

2020 Top 5 Things I bought
Since there has been no product to buy, I have spent my money on other things, like the following cards for my respective collections. One of my goals is to have a relic and autographed card from every player collection player with every team they've been with. I made some good dents in this goal this year.
5. eBay - Eric Hosmer

2020 Top 5 Cards I Traded For
Due to Corona, transitioning all my undergrad classes to a virtual classrooms, and trying to get moved, I unfortunately didn't get to do much trading this year. The trades I did do, I got some awesome stuff and was able to knock out quite a few needs for my set collections and mega collections!
5. TCDB trade with bwill305 - I got this card to help me complete this 2017 insert set!
4. TCDB trade with engine614 - I badly needed this card for my MLB players from Iowa mega collection
3. TCDB trade with 2822ams - Another badly needed card for the 2017 insert set!

2020 Top 5 "Hits"
Again, 2020, was a difficult year. I wasn't able to buy a lot of product this year, because there was no product to be had! It's been very discouraging, to say the least. When 2021 starts, I'll have to ramp up the trades to get the things I need from the product I didn't get to buy for my player collections!
5. 2020 Opening Day Kyle Lewis
4. 2020 Topps 1985 Topps Luis Robert
3. 2020 Allen & Ginter - I'd love to collect this as a set. I think it's cool it glows in the dark!
2. 2019 Panini Elite Extra Edition - I had never bought much of this product, and I had read bad reviews on the internet, so when this was the relic I received, I was not happy.
However, Panini made good and sent me this, so I will forgive; he's even a Royal!
1. 2019 Fire - my last purchase before Corona hit; this was nice because who was to know blaster boxes were going to become hard to buy.
