I got a slightly delayed Valentine's Day gift...a box of 2022 Topps Series 1 hobby box! It was a great surprise, although I'm not sure how to proceed with it. I am missing just a handful of cards to complete series 1; do I try to complete the set, or use it for trade bait? It seems like all the "hot" player cards are in series 1. I put a Twitter poll up, but no one responded, so I'm unsure of what to do. I might try a poll on this blog to see what people think.

Is this a Topps set or Bowman? Don't get me wrong, I love green cards, but I feel like this is a Bowman thing. |

I like the "welcome to the show" set, but I wish it was more exciting. I do love the "pick the game" cards. |

Love this set! |

1987 Topps again?! I love 1987 Topps, so I guess I'll have to collect it, even though we just did this in 2017. |

I like this set, too...reminds me a little of 1993 Leaf |

Yeah, personally if I were close to completing Series 1, I'd probably go for it as long as there was nothing really expensive in my way.
ReplyDeleteThe Abbot auto and Banks diamond cut are sharp!
ReplyDeleteIf you only need a few cards, try trading for the rest on TCDB or pick them up on Sportlots.
I decided to go ahead and go for the set completion. I'll be pretty easy, given I got all the "big" cards Series 1 has in it.
DeleteLooks like a really good box break to me, congrats!
ReplyDeleteThe Home Field Advantage cards seem to be case hits - so did real well.
